Band in the Modern World

with TV Buddhas

21 Apr 2011

On April the 21st Seeing Sounds is dedicated to the roadtrip, and the romantic idea of the indie band on tour. For TV Buddhas, a garage rock trio from Tel Aviv, the dream of an indie tour through the US fell quite apart. They encountered empty clubs, numerous promoter no shows and dead end small towns where the local scene has withered away. Instead of complaining, they made a film about it: Band in the Modern World. It is a tour diary against all other tour diaries – a realistic, dark and lonely trip through the impersonal indie world of today
