He has been stirring up commotion for years with these useful, unconventional objects, particularly at markets and festivals. Steven de Peven makes these pointing implements himself. He gathers sticks in the park, cleans them and fits them with red or yellow points. He then adds a handy handle using string.

The exhibition presents them all, in beautifully lit display cases: large and small, panoramic and self-referencing, straight-to-the-point and around-the-corner; disposable or guaranteed to point for a lifetime. The sticks are accompanied by texts from well-known writers who have honed in on the phenomenon. Steven de Peven will be present in person all three evenings to point out the subtleties of his collection to visitors.

Steven de Peven is a well-known DJ, artist, actor and musician.

For three nights, Sonic Connections will present a sampler of eclectic musical styles: rock, post-punk, indie, singer-songwriter, electronic and avant-garde. Young acts, hungry for excitement and experimentation.

There are also many sideshows accompanying the main concerts: the Duo Disco, the Sonic Peepshow as well as intimate local living-room concerts.
