| nomadic initiatives
UHM is a foundation run by artists realizing initiatives in the realm of contemporary art and artistic professions. Founded in August 2011, UHM has been operating from The Hague, The Netherlands with a non-profit structure. UHM’s goal is to create an accessible and dynamic platform for creation, promotion and presentation. The initiatives are featuring variations within fields of artistic professions. Thus, not argumentative from separation of fields but from influences and collaborations. UHM focuses on upcoming and renowned artists with an innovative artistic practice and research. Cooperation’s with other joined forces take an important role in the program as well. Being nomadic the initiatives changes in its form and format and currently take place at least once a year. UHM develops exhibition and project concepts considering the characteristics of a space or searches for a space considering the specifics of the concept. Within this position UHM shows flexibility and openness in a contemporary approach for new exhibition spaces.
