Shabera Night was presented by Japanese creators living in the Netherlands, Dutch and foreign creators who are influenced by Japanese culture, organizations, groups, music bands etc.

After an evening filled with presentations, everyone enjoyed networking accompanied with live music by Treehouse and by DJ Yuta.

This night was part of the Japan New&Old, In&Out series held at Mediamatic in 2008.

Shabera Night Flyer - “Shabera night” will be organized by Japanese artists Emiko Chujyo and Kyoko Inatome and held on 15th February as one of the events in the “Gastarbeider dating” project at Mediamatic. Inspired by “Pechakucha Night” we are providing a situation in which creators from Japan, and creators from The Netherlands and elsewhere who are influenced by Japanese culture will introduce their work and communicate with each other.

Japan New & Old, In & Out — the bar girls at Mediamatic - 13 - 17 februari 2008: De tentoonstelling Japan, New & Old, In & Out werd georganiseerd door de Japanse kunstenaars Kyoko Inatome en Emiko Chujo. Ze creërden een Meeting point om zo de samenwerking tussen creatieven uit Japan, Nederland en andere landen te stimuleren. De tentoonstellingsruimte vormden zij om tot een 'Kotatsu' café met lage tafels.
