Since 2014, Pet van de Luijtgaarden has been touring the Netherlands and Belgium with a traveling museum: the Tour d'Artistique. This is a collection of colorfully painted caravans all filled and/or decorated with Pet's collections, such as cassette tapes and stuffed toys.
Pet is fascinated by the absurdity of the multitude of stuff present everywhere in our lives. 'Shops are getting bigger and fuller. But what do we need it all for?' He asks himself.
A selection of Pet's collections will be featured in Mediamatic's 2023 museum night programme, 'Self'.
