Arch Linux interface with the ratpoison window manager

An alternative user interface paradigm is embodied in the culture of Unix-like systems. Linux users are free to choose there own window manager—the part of the operating system that keeps track where to draw what to the screen. In this case, the window manager is called ‘ratpoison’: a self-conscious reference to the fact that this interface can be controlled almost entirely by keyboard, and kills of your mouse.
