Love, sweat, love with Claudia Mannigel

Mediamatic will collaborate with Claudia Mannigel to make "Smell Dating" happen at Museumnacht 2016. Scent has a strong effect on our memory, emotions and behaviours. In fact, when it comes to finding your 'mate' it is your own body odour that does the trick. Curious to learn how this works? Join the smell dating experiment, donate your odour and maybe you will find your future love.

Want to learn more about body odours? Join Odorama: the body odour edition on Thursday 3 November.

Piss Pitstop

Urgent business to attend to? The audiovisual installation Pure Gold, by Kamiel Rongen en Mediamatic, invites all filled bladders to visit the artwork at the street side of Mediamatic. The combination of urinals, mesmerising video's and sound make the act of peeing into a whole new experience. And for a great cause! Your waste will be collected, deluded with water and used to water the plants in Dijkspark.

What about the girls? You can visit the NIMBY fermentation toilet by Henriette Waal.

Pure Gold installation - A micro cosmos, breathing, growing and dancing. Pure Gold is an installation by audio-visual artist Kamiel Rongen and Mediamatic. It consists of five different videos, projected on five windows on the façade of the Mediamatic building on the Dijksgracht. Kamiel Rongen used his own urine to create these videos. While peeing one can watch his work. Liz Kunst, Kamiel Rongen, Mediamatic Foundation
