Having studied Computer Graphic Animation and Interactive Media Art at IAMAS, Japan, Ai moved to London.

It was in London that she began working as an animator, character designer and illustrator. At the same time she worked as a designer for Audience Participation in interactive public art at Haque Design and Research. In 2012, she graduated with an MA in Interactions Design at The Royal College of Art, London.

Recent works are “The Extreme Environment Love Hotel” series and the “I wanna deliver a shark…” series.

She currently works as an assistant researcher at MIT Media Lab.
