Deborah's collage-based artworks have been shown in galleries and cinemas in Australia, Germany, Austria, Russia, Korea, France, Brazil, Croatia, the US and Indonesia. The Miracles was commissioned in 2012 for Brisbane's Gallery of Modern Art show Contemporary Australia: Women, and continues to tour public galleries in Australia and the UK.
Deborah aims to present works of art that are full of invitation and involvement, creating opportunity for engagement. In this way, the viewer takes on a participatory role and can see something change and evolve throughout the process.
Unlike the more traditional role of art museums as a repository space for works to be archived and safe guarded, Deborah wants to move the institutions from a primary repository to a site of art making and a space for work that is in flux, continually developing through direct engagement of community.
