3. You'll be the first to try our new Myco Test Beer
Visit the Myco Brewery to taste limited edition beers that are actually doing good to the environment! The spent grains from this beer brewing process are used in the making of new biodegradable materials.
4. We will teach you how to make your own cider
Improve your fermentation skills by attending one of the 8 workshops where you will learn how to make cider, pickles, vinegar, probiotic tomato bombs, sauerkraut, kimchi, sausages or dairy.
5. Fermentation is Poetry
Honour the art of fermentation with a poem, rap or spoken word performance. Fungus Fellowship will help you on your way.
6. You can ask the masters
How to start a yoghurt culture in East Afrika? And what are the best bacteria for your healh? Ask dr. Bart Smit, Prof. Dr. Eddy Smid, Prof. Dr. Remko Kort, Meneer Wateetons and Christian Weij all their fermentation secrets.
7. Mediamatic ETEN has the best terras in town
Sit down at the waterside of our bar and restaurant and overlook the beautiful Amsterdam waters, Marine Terrein and Nemo. (there is a harbour, so you can also come by boat!)
8. You'll be the judge
Watch fermentation experts Christian Weij (Verrot Lekker) and Meneer Wateetons (Over Rot) go head to head in a fermented cook battle.
9. We'll let you trade your mother for another
Swap your yoghurt starter for a fresh kombucha mother at the 'Starter-ruil-tent' (starter-swap-stand). Deposit between 11:00 - 13:00, collection between 16:00 - 19:00. Subscribe your starter with this form.
10. Your Kids are safe with us (we might turn them into biologist though)
Draw, colour and discover the most beautiful micro-organisms in the Haeckel Room.
11. This is your chance to meet, greet and get signatures.
Bring your copy and get on stage with food authors Yvette van Boven (Home Made - Koken met van Boven), Christian Weij (Verrot Lekker), Meneer Wateetons (Over Rot) and Lucas Jeffries (Instock Cooking).
12. It's a great warm-up for the upcoming Zuursalon
