Sensory Anthropology

Odorama: Thursday Oct. 6 20:30

Can smell be an essential carrier of information (rather than visuals and sound) ? And is it possible to use scents to gain a better understanding of different traditions and rituals? This edition of Odorama explores the sensory hierarchy of different cultures with anthropologists Dr. Yolanda van Ede and Daan Kamps and installation artist Job Koelewijn, for whom scent is an important factor in his oeuvre.

Odorama is curated by Caro Verbeek.
