Living and working in Beirut, the two jet setters Serge Yared and Fadi "Fe" Tabbal teamed up together to work on a set of songs. They were naturally joined by a myriad of professional, less professional, and even involuntary musicians, using anything available at hand.

The Incompetents is the result of the collaboration between songwriter Serge Yared and producer/multi instrumentalist/arranger/sound engineer Fadi "Fe" Tabbal.
Fadi describes The Incompetents-sound as 'something that Paul McCartney, Syd Barrett, Tom Waits, Brian Wilson and David Byrne would have made together but... without their genius'.
