Art and gallery neighborhood in Shanghai
This little art gallery area has grown more commercial over the years. While some stuff expolits the recent hype of Chinese art and is overpriced or just plain ugly, there are some great discoveries to make. Places I like:
- Shine Art Space for oil paintings
- M97 for photography
- ShanghART for interesting contemporary
- Timezone 8 for a rare art bookshop with a big selection on Chinese contemporary art
