Working with the disadvantaged

Established by the artist Kader Keita.

Mali Association of Culture and Hope, is the UK branch of the Mali registered Association 'Anga Miri Sini Na' ; which in Bambara means 'Let's think of tomorrow'; also known as 'Association Culturelle Pensons à Demain'.

It works through art and culture to develop the skills and self-esteem of children who live on the streets, and other needy groups in Bamako, the Capital of Mali, West Africa.

It provides food and support as well as teaching in 'Bogolan'; a traditional Malian art form using mud from the river Niger and treated fabric.

It helps children get off living on the streets, to return to school, or to their families, or to develop their art to try to enable them to be financially self-supporting.

So far, over 500 children have benefited from the work of the Association, which was the vision of Kader Keita, to which he is totally dedicated. Kader is an nationally renowned, inspirational and gifted artist, who believes that artists have a responsibility to enrich the most vulnerable in society.
