Andrew Ross

A Scottish academic, currently a professor in the department of social and cultural analysis at New York University.

Much of his writing focuses on labour, the environment and the workforce, from the Western world of business and technology to sweatshop labour in the Global South. Ross makes use of social theory and ethnography. His writing questions the human and environmental cost of economic growth, has an activist anti-globalisation approach, and emphasizes principles of sustainability.
