We invite you for an evening with food and talks. We've got fashion, design, and local food and farming projects lined up for you. Dinner courtesy of local home cooks includes, among others, almond meatballs, gazpacho, and stracciatella mousse. Dinner at 19:30, the first speaker kicks off at 21:00. Get your tickets online in advance to save a few euros.

Ignite

Ignite is run by locals, for locals. Fast-paced and merciless, speakers get five minutes to present, making use of twenty slides that auto-advance every fifteen seconds. All presentations are given in English.

Harmony Hendrickx

A recent Akademie St. Joost graduate, Harmony is fascinated by the plastic-perfect 1950s. Re-staging classic, almost universal scenes, she injects herself into past times. Find out more tonight.

Robin Jaspers & Ingo Valente & Jip Warmerdam, Wilmer Weeink & Gilliam Ganzevles

Four students from ArtEZ will present physical sound installations they made during a 6-week workshop. During the evening visitors will be able to play around with the installations. This round: interactive painting and an installation that sonifies the relationships between people.

Sophie Uijterschout, Meike Hamelink, Maureen de Jong, Mans Lamers

The Javatas connects personal stories, recipes and portraits of local residents of the Indische Buurt to products and stores of shopkeepers in the Javastraat. Tonight the founders will tell you more about their first live event on June 30th.

Ebel Brederode

Originally an industrial designer, Ebel went from designing stuff to being simply fascinated by stuff. The Temple of Crap is an (ongoing) story about the relation between people and products.

David Wasch

David is set to graduate from the Gerrit Rietveld Academie this year. Just a few weeks before the final show he will talk a bit about how he creates his collage-paintings.

Oh! You Simple Things - Oh! You Simple Things is an independent jewellery project by Aleks Pietrzykowska. Consisting of a limited series of handmade necklaces. All objects are made from Silver + Acrylic glass. Picture taken from Pietrzykowska's website.

Lonneke Gordijn (Studio Drift)

Since Lonneke and Ralph Nauta founded Studio Drift the design studio has collaborated with artists, scientists, research facilities and engineers to research the relationship between nature, technology and humankind.

Miniature organ in the making - A project by ArtEZ students Bram Bogaerts and Cas de Rooij. You play the organ by moving your hands over the tops of the pipes.

Justin Samgar

Justin is the Poetry Pusher. An on-demand poet, performer and organizer. Last month he released the album SpaceAgePoetry, poetic collaborations with musicians and producers.

Pauline van Dongen

Since 2010 Pauline's studio has been creating shoes and womenswear collections combining traditional craftsmanship with new, high tech materials. In her designs the body informs the shape.

Emile den Tex

Procedural poetry is what Emile, Douwe Mulder and Matthijs Ponte call a developing form of poetry which makes use of computer software to generate poetry from randomly chosen online sources. Emile will tell you about their plans for the first procedural webserver.
