Enfleurage: Extracting (human!) scents

Enfleurage is a way of extracting scent from plants or flowers. During Art Olfaction Amsterdam we got the chance to extract human scents via this method.

Where was this made?:

The technique of Enfleurage was made famous in Suskins novel Das Parfum, in which Jean Grenouille, its protagonist figure, extracts the scent of freshly murdered redheads by wrapping them in alcohol-drenched cloth. In real life, this technique is mainly used to extract the scent of plants and flowers. During Art Olfaction Amsterdam we used this technique on living volunteers to extract their scents.
