Senecio inaequidens

This plant, also known as South African ragwort, is native of South Africa and widely naturalised in Europe. Senecio species have been used as food and in folk medicine in the Mediterranean area in the treatment of wounds and as anti-emetic, anti-inflammatory and vasodilator preparations. It is also used in the treatment of various diseases in many part of the world. Senecio graveolens is used in Argentina as emmenagogue (stimulating menstruation), digestive and cough suppressant.
