Poisonous / Deadly

Did you know that Socrates, the great philosopher and thinker, was killed by a deadly plant? He chose to drink the tea of a plant called Hemlock as his preferred way to die after being sentenced to death in ancient Greece. The poison of this plant disrupts the central nervous system, and already a small dose can cause respiratory collapse. In contrast, other deadly plants, like the Christmas rose or the burning bush is only deadly when consumed in very high doses.
