Gino Marengo

Growing up in Suriname, with a hunting grandfather who picked game directly from the forest, Gino came into contact with animals, fresh ingredients and rich dishes from an early age. He ate everything from iguana eggs to armored fish , but he didn't like vegetables. "Sopropo, boulanger, it all tasted so bitter, it was way too intense!" He now transforms every vegetable into a sensational spectacle, reinterpreting traditional dishes in a surprising way, connecting food cultures, flavors and memories.

At Mediamatic ETEN he will delve into the eating and drinking habits of our multicultural society and present the tastiest versions of traditional dishes, with a focus on pure and local products. All 100% plant based.

Serres Séparées

The Serres Séparées are a corona inspired extension of our restaurant service. In private little greenhouses for two or four persons, you can share a fine dining experience with your intimi. In restaurants and bars, a separate room is traditionally named in French: "chambre séparée". It suggests a sexy kind of intimacy; here things can happen that should remain hidden from plain sight and not be heard by all. We've decided to name our greenhouses in French too. The Menu

Expect a carefully curated menu, which interprets traditional dishes from different food cultures in modern and compelling ways, using the freshest products from, mainly, Dutch soil. Everything we serve is 100% plant-based and the menu will change regularly depending on the season and availability of produce. 

For this spring, our chef Gino developed a menu around the onion and other bulbs in the leek family. Read more about the process here.

This dinner is not suitable for people with a low-carb diet or onion or garlic allergies, keep an eye out for our seasonal changing menu.

Each evening there are two rounds: 17:30 - 20:00 and 20:30 - 23:00
You can book tickets now for the period: March 23 to May 1

4 course dinner in a private Serre (chef's selection)
For 2 persons: 110,-
For 4 persons: 220,-
Prices do not include drinks

If you come with one person less, there is a reduction of €55,- at the door. If you come with three people, there is a surcharge of € 55,- at the door. In this case please make a reservation for two persons.
