What you will do
We will work with our living stories, and explore our healing sensibilities. By going on a ritualistic journey, we will begin with a Botanical Walk to discover the healing plants under the shelter of Mediamatic. After a proper warming up, and rightful refreshment with healing flower tea, we will get wild with our hands and discover Botanical Art. It’s the time to create your mental journey of menstruation with sanitary pads, tampons, and (dried) healing plants. We will also have cotton thread and needles on site to give your creations an extra touch. To complete this celebration, we will engage in Botanical Talk by sharing full of menstruation stories. Every story matters, and listening to that makes us united to dare even more about our period.

Ying Yi Wu
With roots in China, where mountains and rivers are indispensable landscapes in her youth, Ying Yi has created new roots in the Netherlands since 2016. As a visual artist, social designer, and storyteller working on the cutting edge of visual arts and
performance arts, she explores what nature does to us sensorially. By taking on an unconventional perspective of healing rituals, she creates both visual impressions and sensory experiences by playing with dried flowers and other botanical materials.
