Kwint started the preparatory course at the Gerrit Rietveld Academy and then began studying Film, Photography and the Digital at the St. Joost Academy in Breda, but did not complete it. He is currently studying at Codam in Amsterdam, a school focused on computer programming. Kwint has been involved with film from an early age.

He made short films, in which he often played the lead role. These early works had an absurd character—an element that remains visible in his later work, but developed into something more magical and dreamy.
