For around 6 months, Marjolijn kept these metal plates underwater, on the quays of Mediamatic. These plates started out empty, but over time, they became the homes and breeding grounds of countless water creatures such as algae and barnacles. This project revealed the hidden and intricate migratory flows happening away from sight, underwater.
