Claire Adams is a Spanish-Dutch soprano, violinist and interdisciplinary maker whose work unfolds at the intersection of experimental music, performance and sonic storytelling. Blending voice and violin into layered, immersive sound worlds, she explores the porous boundaries between contemporary music, conceptual art-song and performative practice. Through intimate yet exploratory sonic languages, Claire creates spaces for reflection, seeking moments of stillness and emotional depth within increasingly fast-paced and fragmented societies.

Informed by a background in philosophy, her artistic practice is driven by questions surrounding perception, existential experience and the complexity of being human. Rather than approaching music solely as aesthetic expression, Claire conceives her projects as spaces of inquiry — where sound becomes a medium through which emotional, philosophical and embodied questions can be explored.

After completing a double major in Classical Singing and Classical Violin at the Academy of Music and Performing Arts in Tilburg (The Netherlands), Claire became primarily active in the field of contemporary and avant-garde music. She has performed as a soloist at venues and festivals such as November Music and De Link, premiered works by composers including Ximo Tarín Micó and Nicoline Soeter, and collaborated on interdisciplinary productions with ensembles and makers such as Sounding Bodies and Dyane Donk Company.

In recognition of her artistic vision, Claire was awarded the Jacques de Leeuw Prize in 2019 and selected as an emerging artist by Music Hub Brabant in 2020. In 2024, she graduated from the Master in Contemporary Performance at Berklee Valencia, where she further developed her interdisciplinary and authorial artistic voice.

Claire is currently developing Existential Impressions, a contemplative, genre-fluid concept album of experimental art-songs shaped by intimacy, impressionistic textures and subtle sonic experimentation. Situated between experimental art-pop, chamber sensibilities and electronic minimalism, the project unfolds as an immersive journey through existential states — inviting attentive listening, reflection and resonance.
