Iolo Jones

Iolo Jones has degrees in Radio, Film & Television and Educational Broadcasting. He started his career in film special effects before becoming a cameraman at LWT. Subsequently, he worked for a number of leading advertising and marketing companies, including Ogilvy & Mather. In 1991, Iolo founded a pioneering multimedia company, Sutton Jones, which was sold to what is now WPP plc. Then he built one of the worldÕs leading Internet integration companies, Interactive1. At I1, he formed a subsidiary, Web Channels, which was one of the first companies to broadcast over the Internet for clients such as Lloyds TSB, Orange and MTV. In March 2002, Iolo founded Narrowstep, which has grown to become the leading global provider of TV over IP services and has developed the unique Television Operating System (TelVOS) to enable the rapid development and deployment of commercial TV services to mobile, wireless, broadband and broadcast services. The system is currently used by a number of UK broadcasters, including ITV, Telewest, Simply TV and Travel TV. Iolo frequently contributes to leading magazines and Web sites and speaks at events such as NAB.
