Where you can find the magazines and what's missing both online and offline

In years past other researchers, editors and interns have been working on the magazine. Nowadays all their work is combined into the Mediamatic Magazine theme. Don't worry about anything hidden in the caverns of AnyMeta, although there might be the occasional double article. The storage of the magazines offline is a different matter.

Storage rooms

All of the magazines can be found in the archive room also known as storage room 16. They are in a big box and come in doubles. The only magazine missing is Mediamatic Magazine Volume 5 Issue 4: Otaku (Radical Boredom). These magazines should always be put back right after using them, but even better is to leave these untouched.

Magazines can also be found in storage room 12 near the printer. They are in boxes on the shelves to the right. Most of the times the text on the boxes is correct when it comes to its contents. Unfortunately sometimes this isn't true. With a bit of digging you can find a fivefold of a certain magazine, though some might be easier to find than others. There is a big box on the top shelf above the printer containing a copy of every issue except for (once again) Volume 5 Issue 4: Otaku.

On one of the desks there is a big pile of magazines. This pile includes one version of all the magazines, including Volume 5 Issue 4: Otaku. If there is no archiver present the pile can be found in a box in room 12 marked with the text Archiver's Pile of Magazine (All Issues). These are not the magazines that should be used for digitalization, as some have written text in them.

Online

Not all magazines are online yet. Some are still missing. This is a list that deals with what magazines are online, offline and in which language they are present on the website. You can find the magazine theme at http://www.mediamatic.net/magazine. When on the main page go to either Special Projects or Best of Mediamatic. Once it's completed try to give it a more prominent place for all to behold. This is a list of the magazines that still need to be digitalized and are missing from the current selection on the site:

Volume#Issue English Dutch
3#2 Yes No
3#3 No No
3#4 Yes No
4#1-4 No No
5#1-4 No No
6#1 No No

None of the magazines have a readable and searchable PDF-version yet. See the sub-article on digitalization and what steps should be taken and who has already been contacted about this.

Scanner

We currently have one scanner. It's a Canon CanoScan LiDE 60. You can probably find it somewhere on the desks. In order to use it you will have to download the driver. If everything went well it also installs CanoScan Toolbox. If not, you can download CanoScan Toolbox as well. The program is self explanatory enough for you to figure out.

There are talks about some super scanner that can do a double page scan. These stories have yet to be proven true as it is nowhere to be found. If you do, please update this section.
