A. van Wees has a traditional way of working and maintain a tradition that dates back to the 16th century. There is an extensive knowledge of distilling in the company and with the love of the profession, they produce traditional Dutch spirits of a unique quality. A. van Wees has a good nose for the natural properties of grain distillates and herbs and it is clear from the taste.
A. van Wees currently have 14 different spirits that they are working on, from young to very old.
At Mediamatic Eten we serve the 'Oude Genever Amsterdamsche dubbel gebeid' 35% - a special combination of 100% malt wine, grain spirit and special herbs. This old jenever owes its beige color to sitting for at least 6 months in a barrel. This jenever is soft, full and pleasant to drink at any time.
