Bellis perennis, or daisy, is a member of the asteraceae family. Daisies are an evergreen perennial and are found growing in meadows, lawns and other grassy areas.
Daisies are used as a domestic remedy in a variety of cases, however, traditionally daisy is used to dress wounds. Flower buds are a pleasant addition to soups, sandwiches, and salads and can be eaten raw. Reports on the tastiness of the raw leaves vary from somewhat acric to mild and pleasant but they are edible.
