Celebrating the tenth Lecture the Megacities Foundation organises an international congress on 27 and 28 November 2008 in association with the Faculty of Architecture at University of Technology Delft, the Netherlands. Target groups for the congress are policy makers, scientists, planners, architects, building companies, developers and other decision makers in the field of urban and regional planning.

The central theme of the congress is sustainability, viewed from three different perspectives: Planet, People and Profit (the three P’s). On the first day of the congress, the so-called University Day, Masters and Ph.D students will present their studies for a city or a metropolitan region. These papers and projects will be discussed by members of the scientific committee and guests. The highlight of this day will be the tenth Megacities Lecture. On the Congress Day international experts will deliver a lecture on the three P’s. These lectures will be followed by a co-report from the angle of food production and consumption as a kick-off for the round table discussion, whichwill conclude the congress.
