KargART occupies an important place in the performance arts scene in Istanbul with the festivals and independent performances it organizes. It is providing performance artists interested in video and artists producing works in plastic arts with the opportunity of doing live performances.
As a new center of artistic production in opposition to the cultural center of Istanbul, Taksim, and peculiar to Kadıköy, the organization also supports artists who reflect Kadıköy and/or Kadife Street and/or who live and produce there.
