Temporary Museum Amsterdam is the yearly side programme during Art Amsterdam. It connects the institutions of modern art. Masterstudents of the Sandberg Institute used politic quotes for this year's project, to question the relation between art and democracy. In this way the Temporary Museum is being given a political identity. Visitors of Art Amsterdam will be given a passe-partout (in the form of a bag), which gives them free access to all institutions and programmes. The Citroën-service will bring you to the art fair and the institutions for free.

Stay in Bed

Viola Renatie (student Sandberg Institute) designed bed linen. She uses this to reflect on current global issues and thus updates John Lennon and Yoko Ono's action of 40 years ago. On the bed linen are graffiti statements, like 'I stay in bed to save the planet', or 'I stay in bed to reduce my waste'. According to John Lennon a sense of humour is an important weapon against violence. Their Bed-In for Peace was a simple and positive action. A number of rooms will have Viola Renate's bed linen. A bed will also be exhibited on platform 3 of Lloyd Hotel.

Lift-piece

Matthias Schreiber (student Sandberg Institute) made a sound installation for the elevators of Lloyd Hotel in which the latest news is hacked with words like 'art' and 'artists'. Suddenly, Iraqi artists are in combat...
