His work is characterized by the absurdist, and in part, illustrated scenes played out between the often perverted, cartoon-like protagonists featured in his films. His films create a completely unique world populated by peculiar characters. Eilers’ standing friendship with the German crooner Adrian Falk and the American cage fighter Kent Hensley formed the basis for his collaboration with them as actors in this film. The result is a stylishly filmed mixture of outsider art, trash film and performance art filled with fetishist preoccupations reminiscent of the work of Matthew Barney and Daft Punk's Electroma.

Especially for the occasion, Impakt Headquarters are transformed into Wayne’s World: Drawings at the basis of the film are shown alongside stage props from the film. The cocktail bar only serves White Russians and Wayne’s DJs only play the best tunes from the history of German hair metal. With their cross-over between rap and musical, also known as rapical, MC It and DJ Crackdilla alias Dogs of Shame launch their new EP “Making Shit Shine.” An ambiance truly fitting to Wayne Horse’s reputation as “leading provider of uncomfortable silence, awkward moments and public embarrassment.”
