W139's Barry -

This week at Barry's

A New Orleans inspired presentation from designer and Louisiana son, Erik Kiesewetter.
Second lines, street life, plate lunches, our rich history, sweltering summers and neighborhood typography, all make for a fine roux and informs the design and that of the arts community in a post-Katrina landscape. From uptown to downtown, there will be a presentation of hand-painted vernacular, cocktails and sounds from the street as well as the life of a designer who actively works on repairing and developing organizational structures to support his arts community in New Orleans through the design firm and arts organization, Constance.

Bio
Erik Kiesewetter (b. 1981) is an independent multi-disciplinary designer primarily focused on publication, identity, and digital design. He is really into iced coffee, heavy plate lunches, picture books, kittens, Italian digestifs, bad typography, the won’t quit human spirit and sparkling diamonds.

Constance
Constance is a full-service publishing, design, and event coordination hub. It was created to nourish and strengthen the arts community of New Orleans with innovative, well-crafted, and dynamic outcomes. We believe all projects should be investigated individually with simple and focused design approaches.
