Under the umbrella of the 'More Europe' cultural civic initiative and with the support of SICA and EUNIC NL, the debate will look at how culture and creative industries can foster cultural diplomacy and cultural relations in the EU’s external affairs at a time of change across Europe.

Culture – in its broadest sense – plays an important role in shaping our views of the world, as well as influencing our international relations. It is a fundamental driver of economic, social and sustainable human development. It is also a key asset for strengthening the EU’s position as a global player in the world.

Join the debate from 15:00–18:15 on Wednesday, 19 September at the BIMHUIS in Amsterdam. To attend register: http://sica.nl/content/more-europe-amsterdam-debate.

Speakers are Alexander Rinnooy Kan, Marietje Schaake, Charles Esche, Markus Appenzeller, Frédéric Martel, and more.
