Jaike Bijleveld is Coördinator invasive plantspecies, treediseases and -plagues (such as oak processionary caterpillar) and ecology for the municipality of Amsterdam. Jaike studied biology at the Hogeschool van Amsterdam, and started working for the municipality in 2017. In 2019 Jaike founded a program to develop a risk-based strategy against the Japanes knotweed. This program entails the inventory of all Japanese knotweed growing places in Amsterdam, educating all colleagues who work in the public space and the clean-up of growing places.
