After arcade machines, consoles, handhelds and installations, we've finally reached the virtual Level 5: Mobile Games. The three-day Mob Fest marks the end of the Arcade exhibition. Expect two days of in-depth discussion about and demonstrations of mobile games, and one Ignite evening consisting of 15 speedy 5-minute talks. Buy your tickets online.

March 23rd: Thinking Mobile

How can mobile games excel beyond the level of ‘play once and never use again’? In other words: what makes a good mobile game? We'll be speaking with Kars Alfrink of Hubbub, Richard Birkin (UK) of Mudlark, and NIMk artist in residence Duncan Speakman (UK). Hosted by Michiel de Lange. Buy your ticket here.

March 24th: Doing Mobile

Games are an easy way of addressing complex issues and igniting people to get involved. How can mobile games contribute to a better future? What good can a mobile game do? Louise Down (UK) of Tate Modern, Karel Millenaar of FourceLabs and Emer Beamer of Butterfly Works will be joining us in discussing these questions. March 25th: Ignite Amsterdam 7

Ignite is a fast-paced and merciless evening, full of fresh ideas and clever insights. Speakers get five minutes to present an idea or project. They make use of twenty slides that auto-advance every fifteen seconds. The seventh edition is all about mobile games. We'll be speaking to 15 game developers, journalists, artists and programmers Find out more here.

Mob Fest is part of the Arcade exhibition. Arcade is a collection of old and new games and technologies. The exhibition closes on March 27th. Open from 13:00 - 19:00 during the week, and on Fridays and Saturdays from 13:00 - 18:00.
