Mediamatic ETEN is the restaurant of Mediamatic Biotoop. Located in a greenhouse on the waterfront, our restaurant and bar offer great city views. Join us for some great-tasting and(where possible) locally-sourced food or simply for a crafted Amsterdam brew on our sunny terrace.
From 21 - 24 November, Mediamatic presents a unique dining experience: Bodemdrang. This upcoming Neo Futurist Dinner focuses on the desire to connect with the ground beneath our feet. With each course, artist Suzanne Bernhardt and chef Thorwald Voss dive deeper into the earth. Book your tickets here.
The restaurant uses organic, sustainable and local food and drinks where possible. We use the herbs and edible flowers we cultivate in our Aquaponics greenhouse, like the mint we use for the mint tea, and the fish of the day comes from local Amsterdam waters, caught by the last standing fisherman of Amsterdam, Piet Ruijter.
Sunday, Monday and Tuesday you can try a delicious wood-fired pizza, cooked for one minute at 450 degrees in our very own hand-made clay oven. We have an open kitchen, a unique rocket-stove, and installations such as Zeger Reyers' Hard Water.
The organic food waste of the kitchen is composted in Bokashi Containers to produce fertile soil used in our Aquaponics kas.
