Sandberg Instituut

Since 1995, the Sandberg Instituut has offered master programmes in Fine Arts, Applied Arts and Design. Before 1995, the Sandberg Instituut (established in 1990 by former Rietveld director Simon den Hartog) was primarily concerned with the organization of post-academic activities such as seminars and exhibitions.

The Sandberg Institute has three departments: Fine Arts, Applied Arts and Design. Although each department has its own character and its own educational programme, they also collaborate if possible. In reality the separate programs prove to be so intensive in character that only one or two people a year appear to have the inclination to participate in the activities of other departments.
