UHM is a non-profit artists’ collective founded in August 2011 operating from The Hague, The Netherlands.
UHM stands for United Homonym Movement and summarizes it’s working strategy in exactly these three words: united, homonym and movement. Our collective goal with UHM is to initiate a dynamic and cooperative movement in which visibility of the process and variations within fields of various professions are main features. The collective term “art” can be seen as a homonym for these many professional fields. Based on the mutual necessity of artists to create, UHM collective seeks to collaborate.
Between January and November 2012 UHM realized a range of 16 exhibitions and projects that took place in the temporary UHM exhibition and project space in the center of The Hague (Jan Hendrikstraat 62-72). It has functioned as a platform to stimulate artistic creation of individual artist, as well as for collaborations with established festivals.
