Gather your unwanted belongings and bring them to Mediamatic Fabriek. Register yourself and your things, and start looking around. If there was nothing that caught your eye, received a voucher so you could come back and swap another time. It's like shopping, but without money.
What's cool is that you could keep track of what came into the exhibition, and what went out. The picture of your checked-in bow tie was connected at the check-out to a picture of the new well-ribboned owner. Take a look here.
You were also able to exchange services. The massage corner and hair salon were manned by professionals at fixed times, but when they aren't, you were free to take their place.

Dit label krijg je mee als je een ding komt registreren. Hier kun je iets over je ding kwijt. Waarom je het niet meer wilt, waar het vandaan komt, of waarom het zo leuk is.

Deze regels spreken voor zich, maar toch krijg je ze op een blaadje mee als je bij ons binnenloopt. Heel kort gezegd: wees aardig en vergiftig je mede-bezoekers niet.

Ruilen met een staartje
Als de tentoonstelling is afgelopen, blijft het ruilgevoel doorsluimeren. Een paar dagen geleden bijvoorbeeld opende Das Spectrum met het ruilrestaurant, waar topkoks een maaltje brouwen van door de eters ingebrachte ingrediënten. Misschien dat dit soort dingen ooit wel weer deel gaan worden van ons dagelijks leven.
