Romana Zajec

Romana is a freelance video artist, documentary filmmaker, researcher, scriptwriter and journalist with special focus on human rights issues and ecology/sustainable development.

Currently she is working on projects closely correlated to migration, asylum, refugees, climate refugees and climate induced migration, but also working on art and experimental projects.

In 2008 Romana participated in EsoDoc, a European Social Documentary Training Initiative and also at Any Media Documentary workshop in Amsterdam. In 2009 she was selected as a Sarajevo Talent Campus participant.

Among other projects in 2009 she was a local coordinator for 3rd ESoDoc session (www.esodoc.eu/) in Slovenia and film festival coordinator in Strasbourg (Slavic Film Festival; www.slavicfilmfest.eu/)

She will be visiting IDFA 2009 and in December 09 she will be off for Copenhagen COP 15, working for Inside COP 15 (cop15.panda.org/).
