Eating like a pigeon
Pigeons collect their food from the ground. They are always present in urban areas, particularly on busy squares, because they pick up the food that we drop or throw on the street. Our leftovers are their food. They eat a little bit of everything, from insects to fruit and bread, but are also great lovers of seeds and grains. And what about drinking? Their drinking method is similar to that of us humans, their beaks can be compared to straws. Mediamatic ETEN created an event where you could experience eating like a pigeon.
Crop milk or pigeon milk, is what pigeons use to find their baby’s. Our version is a potato soup with a sunflower seed emulsion, which is served with a popcorn crumble.
To eat like a pigeon is to eat waste and that's exactly what we offered on Museum night. In the form of our waste croquet made out of vegetable waste form our own kitchen served with vegan mayonaise.

"The food we serve is 100% plant-based. We compose the dishes with seasonal vegetables and ingredients, and use local produce."
