Rollin Rachele -

Rollin Rachele is a 2nd generation overtone singing pioneer. He started exploring overtones in 1979, and gave his first concert in New York City in 1984. His approach is a fine balance between science and intuition. As a trained musician, he has developed a unique style of rendering the overtones. His technique gives him a very high level of control and facility.

Rollin holds a 1st Class Honours Degree from Trinity Laban Music Conservatoire (London), in Indian Classical Music Performance. He has made contributions to scientific knowledge through his work with academic establishments, such as the American Laryngological Voice Research and Education Foundation (ALVRE) and The Voice Foundation of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA.

As an accomplished performing artist, teacher and innovator, Rollin’s main musical passion is blending overtones with other music traditions, such as Indian Classical singing, Jazz and Gregorian chant. He has been instrumental in stimulating and guiding contemporary composers in writing music for overtone singers.

Rollin is director of creativity & innovation for the business consultancy Abundant Sun Ltd. Within this capacity, he applies his artistic skills to the areas of stress management, team development and work-life balance.

Rollin has produced several music CDs: Sound Reflections; Whistling Pastimes; and Harmonic Divergence. As author of the acclaimed Overtone Singing Study Guide, he is firmly committed to helping people achieve a healthy vocal system, which can form an integral part of healthy, creative self-expression.
