Enter Action - Digital Art Now invites us to take a trip through digital art created by international artists. The works represent a broad selection of genres within the digital art sphere such as robot art, sound installations, net art, video, games and interactive installations. Taking today's new media and artistic expressions as their point of departure, the artists manage to point forward to the future and pin down some of the traits that characterize our highly digitalized world.

Digital Art Now, Pærer annemette, at ARoS in Denmark. -

Over the last decades we have lived through a digital revolution. Technologies like the computer, the Internet and the mobile phone have taken root as an integral part of our reality influencing our way of life and our culture. This development is reflected in art, where digital technologies have become an important source for new artistic departures and realisations. Through their investigation of the new digital material the artists inject art with a new expression, in each their own way, and with a great power of fascination as regards to both content and form. These new genres and different expressions have become known as digital art. An art form that transgresses the boundaries of what today's art is and what it can accomplish.

Enter Action - Digital Art Now sets focus on the human being and deals with the condition of man in a digital age. The works explore, each in their own way, how digital technologies influence our culture, body and identity when more and more digital media and technologies invade our everyday lives.
