Nest 2.0

A digital exhibition space

Nest 2.0 is a digital version of a real-life exhibition space that invites a broad audience to participate in curating contemporary art exhibitions

NEST2.0 - Impression of the virtual space Marijn

The main goal of Nest 2.0 is to make curating democratic by offering a digital space in which anyone can make an art exhibition. By setting up an account and adding your own art or work by other people, you can create an online artshow. This is important because the public is never a participant in the choices being made putting together a show in a gallery or museum

Nest 2.0 is meant for a broad audience, youth, artists, curators but also anyone who is not directly involved in the arts.

The innovative strength of Nest 2.0 lies in making curating interactive, democratic and easily accessible.
It is a project that depends strongly on online interactivity, any visitor with access to the internet can put together an exhibition, on top of that visitors can rate exhibitions of other users.
Beside that, the strength of the digital Nest 2.0 lies in the physical presence of its brother Nest. High rated shows could be rewarded with a show in the real Nest in The Hague.

Due to the internet the limitations of space and time are taken away. No longer the programme of an exhibitionspace is limited to a dozen shows a year. Selection is no longer necessary.

We need help to make Nest 2.0 into a success because the development of a three-dimensional art space is very costly, especially the interactive side of things.
