NOMAD Educational program is made to improve and encourage exchange, education and creation in contemporary dance in the Balkans through a set of workshops, lectures, study visits and encounters with artists and theoreticians from all related countries and abroad.

NOMAD Educational program is an opportunity to upgrade artistic expression of young dancers and choreographers, to enhance their career at its early stage and to make a ground for future international collaboration.

NOMAD Educational program provides daily professional classes, workshops and lectures from contemporary dance practice and theory, space for individual research and contacts with local and international artists and institutions. NOMAD gives 12 scholarships that cover the program fee, travel expenses and accommodation during 4 months

SHORT CUTS are created by traveling choeographers and dancers from the six Balkan countries. Each of the cities offered them an artistic residence with workshops, lectures, confrontations with local and international artists and theorititians as well as the space for their own artistic research. Ljubljana hosts the last stage of the program in 2010, and here is where Short Cuts will be first presented.

With the help of artistic mentors and local technical team in Ljubljana, traveling choreographers and dancers will create a series of short stories, situations and events (5-20 min) and present them at different locations in Ljubljana. Light design, sound design, scenography and video will be co-created by the young stage tehnicians that are part of the Bunker technical workshop.

SHORT CUTS are scheduled for 18th, 19th and 20th June 2010 in various locations in Ljubljana.
