Born in 1992, Giorgio Gasco graduated in Design and Visual Communication at Politecnico di Torino (IT) where he studied systemic and strategic design. The same year he has been selected for a one-year residency to work at Fabrica, the Benetton’s communications research center based in Treviso. There he worked in product design, scenography and conceptual installations. He recently obtained the master degree in Contextual design at Design Academy of Eindhoven where he developed a versatile approach between art and design. His recent works are sharp representations of human behaviours through the observation of artefacts. Giorgio takes his inspiration from the fight between the most primitive and instinctive human needs and the complexity of the world. The leitmotif of his projects results in material excess, visual incoherence, tension, violence and decadence.
