Talal’s New Hotel

A backpacker’s favourite

While there's not much 'new' about this hotel, it's a clean, friendly place just a few blocks from the Charles Hélou bus station. Along with good amenities and information, it adds up to a backpacker's favourite in Beirut.

These days, this is pretty much the young backpacker's favourite hotel in Beirut: the friendly and helpful manager makes staying here like visiting a knowledgeable old friend. Rooms have satellite TV, heating and air-con, so there's not much to complain about here for the price. Dorm rooms beds are a bargain. Hot showers are free and there's a communal kitchen, laundry facilities and free Internet access at the reception desk. Added bonuses are the book exchange and low cost international fax and telephone services. Judging by the guest book, not only is the place attracting backpackers from all over the world, they all seem to enjoy staying here.

Dorm prices start from USD20.
