"What's wrong with jail for throwing gum on the street?" During WatSpinoza? Mediamatic spread stimulating questions through unexpected channels throughout Amsterdam. These questions were drawn up in collaboration with writer Dirk van Weelden and can be traced back to the ideas of the philosopher Spinoza. Mediamatic collected feedback, recycled interesting statements, and conducted a dialogue with and between Amsterdammers. Everyone could respond by text message, via the website www.watspinoza.nl and on the blackboards in the exhibition itself.
