Dutch Design Awards

Infographics campaign against the culture cuts nominated

Our 2011 campaign against the culture cuts has made it to the Dutch Design Awards finals. Other nominees are amongst others Lernert & Sander and Metahaven. The winners will be announced on October 21st during the Dutch Design Week in Eindhoven.

Relatively modest - Art 0,49 billion. The budget for arts & culture institutions is relatively small. Profits from the cuts will be very limited, the damages will be tremendous. Abel, Niels Bouwman, Willem Velthoven

Infographics culture cuts

The infographics showed how small the culture budget actually is compared to other government- and consumer spending. The posters were distributed in Amsterdam and Den Haag, and the design could be downloaded and printed for free from our website. Have a look at the whole campaign here. It was inspired by a design by Ruben Pater for SLASH/ART.
